ABOUT US
I Love Economics (ILE) is a nonprofit organization created for the purpose of supporting educational initiatives in the field of Economics. ILE team conducts Economics competitions, educational activities and camps.
Our mission is to provide aspiring young economists with relevant economic knowledge. In ILE, we strive for diversity in all forms: we do not accept descrimination on any grounds. Neither do we confine ourselves to a particular Economics syllabus: instead, we aim at providing comprehensive educational experience for everybody involved.

Annual Economics competition for high school students, where the winners of national Economics, Business, and Financial Literacy competitions are able to compete against each other. Key partner of the IEO is HSE University. Teams from 44 countries took part in the IEO 2021.

Educational camp for middle and high school students. It is conducted annually in August and includes two educational tracks: olympiad Economics and career guidance. HSE University is the key partner. Throughout the years, ILE Summer Economics School hosted lectures of a variety of outstanding economists.

KEY PERSONS
Danil Fedorovykh is a Deputy Vice-Rector of HSE University, responsible for the development of HSE University intellectual competitions. Over nine years of academic and pedagogical experience, he won seven Best Teacher awards based on students’ reviews.
Danil Fedorovykh promotes Economics among young generations. He is one of the founders of ILoveEconomics.ru, a website for Russian school students who are just starting to study economics. He is also the organizer of several Economics olympiads and summer schools, including the ILE Summer School of Economics.
Since 2018, Danil is the President of the International Economics Olympiad Executive Board.

Alexandr Zhitkovsky is the Head of the HSE University Project Laboratory for the Development of Intellectual Competitions in Economics (Faculty of Economics).
He is also one of the creators of the IEO Financial Literacy Game, a unique online simulation aimed at testing and advancing players’ knowledge and understanding of personal financial planning. The IEO FLG has already been used in Economics competitions in over 10 countries (Ireland, Portugal, Colombia, Ecuador, etc.)
Since 2019, Alexandr is the Secretary of the International Economics Olympiad Executive Board and Head of the IEO Central Office. There, he oversees the operational issues of the IEO and development of the IEOx community.
